Our Story

BEST RED WINE IN KY – 2015 COMMISSIONER’S CUP WINNER

Prodigy Vineyards and Winery is located in the heart of the Bluegrass on the Peach family farm in Woodford County, between Frankfort and Versailles.

Our family-owned vineyard and winery, established in 1998, produces many award-winning estate varietals of wine, for the occasional “sipper” to the wine connoisseur. Our family is working hard to create a memorable and enjoyable wine for your dining pleasure and strive for excellence from vine to wine!

We opened the tasting room at the farm in October of 2015. This has allowed customers to enjoy the picturesque views of Central Kentucky while enjoying the wine that is made on site. Often times customers are greeted at the farm by a friendly palomino, Tardy and the two wine dogs; Tux and Tickle. We are truly an operating farm, in addition to Tardy and our loving wine dogs, we have three Thoroughbred colts and Rocky Mountain Horse, a Miniature Horse as well as an abundance of cats, chickens, and ducks.

In 2015, Prodigy Vineyards and Winery received the Commissioner’s Cup for Best Dry Red in the State of Kentucky with our 2009 Chambourcin.

We hope that you take the time to come by and enjoy our farm, taste our wine, and have a pleasant experience.

Tardy our 25 year old Palomino roams free around the grounds at Prodigy, he is friendly and NOT fenced in, however approach him at your own risk. TUX & TICKLE our rescue wine dogs
